Yamaha HS8 is the new reference model from the HS series of active monitors by Yamaha, featuring characteristics from the renowned NS-10. The Yamaha HS8 active studio monitor is bi-amplified, with a power of 75W (low) + 45W (high) and has been developed to provide the most linear and precise frequency response for music production, composition, and home/project studio use.

HS8 has a bass reflex cabinet that enhances low resonance, improving the rigidity of the speaker, meaning that the signal remains clean and uncoloured, helping mixes to sound good on multiple sound systems.

Exceptional quality even if it's not the same model as before

I had the pleasure of owning the previous HS version. It seems that S stands for studio. They were extraordinary. I sold them when I moved and now I'm trying to set up my UL again. They are absolutely decent. You also need a subwoofer. That's my opinion. But you can't go wrong with it. You can pass them down to your grandkids. They are extremely durable.

Extraordinary

Even though I expected them to sound excellent given the multitude of reviews from both the country and abroad - especially from influential people on YouTube who mostly have HS8 on their desks, I never thought for a moment that they could sound better than I expected. They are incredible in every way. The bass is indeed a bit strong but can be easily adjusted from the back. Otherwise, as a hobbyist, I can say there are certain tracks that I never believed had a certain bass or mids or highs until I listened to them on these speakers. A totally different level compared to any 2.1 PC system. And in terms of production, just as incredible. The price-quality ratio is a solid 10! Thanks to SoundCreation for the recommendation (mixer MG10XUF + HS8). Anyway, for my voice, it's currently overkill.

Yamaha HS8 and HS7

I bought a set of HS8 and HS7. Both sound very nice. I tested them with special effects, for this purpose (for example jazz drums, rock, etc.) but also with music of different genres. They have very good clarity and dynamics. I use them for professional use. Worth the money! I bought a controller - passive attenuator for them (No more messing around behind the speakers, nor with the computer volume).

Excellent!

I've had them for a while, after testing and listening to several monitors in this price range (KRK, JBL, Alesis, ESI, Presonus between $500-700) and I was very pleasantly surprised from the first listen: superb detail, very good in terms of acoustic imaging, and the bass response is clean, without exaggeration (there are adjustments on the back for the acoustics of each room or taste). They are excellent even for listening, but let's not forget that the role of studio monitors is to provide a flat sound, without coloration, to help you produce a clean mix.
I've been working for over 15 years on Alesis MK2 monitors and I can say that you can't appreciate quality sound without acoustic treatment of the room where you use the monitors. I also recommend calibration with Sonarworks for a correct sound in the room where you use them.
They are excellent monitors for those who want solid sound on the low-end and more. I confidently recommend both these monitors and the services of Soundcreation!

monitoring speakers

The comment comparing monitoring speakers to Logitech's plonkers made me smile. (I own HS50 and Logitech)... Only someone who produces music appreciates the value of these speakers. Of course, they are not for everyday listening or parties. You can't compare apples to chestnuts.

Recommended!

Some very good monitors for a home studio. Exceptional clarity, the response on low frequencies is okay, but I recommend treating the room acoustically to fully benefit from the linearity of these monitors. I confidently recommend these monitors to anyone looking for quality at a good price. A 10 to the Soundcreation team.

Superb Sound

Impeccable. A sound worthy of NS-10.

Yamaha has become Behringer

Besides having a price similar to the legendary classic HS80M, this HS8 is far from it. It doesn't even have all the necessary adjustments for optimal setup like the HS80 does. An excessive bass that covers the natural mids, an unattractive and unreliable sound... Anyone who wants to swap HS80 for HS8 is making a huge mistake!

Yamaha Speakers

They're not really anything special. Logitech Z550 sounds better.
