When struck by the porcelain rim from above, my Super Stack produces an aggressive medium-range sound that projects with incredible ferocity. When played with the tip of the stick on the rim, its short and piercing sound resembles an unpleasant hi-hat. When played softly on the edge, it produces a wide and dry crack, perfect for accents and punctuation at a more moderate volume. The Artist Concept models are a collection of cymbal voices.
