It's a budget noise gate, so don't expect anything wow! Well, it does its job, especially if you adjust the volume of the upstream effects so that the gate cuts in at about 75% of the adjustment range. It cuts quite abruptly when it goes below the threshold, so if there are many low volume parts or frequent pauses in a song, it's better to turn it off completely.
