Gliga Violin 4/4 Gliga (maestro), 5-string

Gliga 4/4 Violin (Master) with 5 Strings - Acoustic violin of size 4/4 with 5 strings. Gliga violins are handcrafted, featuring a spruce soundboard from the Carpathian Mountains, while the back, ribs, and neck are made of flamed maple with inlaid purfling on the front and back, ensuring both the durability of the body and prevention of cracks along the grain, as well as a touch of distinction and elegance.

 The body shape and neck of a five-string violin are quite similar to that of a traditional violin. The body shape may be slightly wider and deeper to enhance the resonance of the viola string. It has a larger pegbox to accommodate the fifth string. Although it is larger than a traditional violin, it is smaller than a viola.

The entire varnishing process is done by hand, using oil varnish, finished in various shades from yellow to dark, brown, and even special antique colours. The instruments have accessories (pegs, bridge, tailpiece, chin rest, endpin) made of ebony wood.
