The drumstick classic 5A in a new, innovative design: the Rohema 5A Evolution.
The Evolution was developed as part of a research project by Rohema and the Institute for Musical Instrument Making (IfM).
The 5A Evolution has a significantly longer shoulder than the classic 5A Stick. This means that it not only generates much more rebound, but also more speed and drive. IfM's acoustic measurements also showed significantly higher rebound rates compared to the conventional 5A Hickory drumstick. The center of gravity of the 5A Evolution remains absolutely the same, because the end of the stick was rounded. The weight also remains as usual, as the Evolution is made from hickory of a heavier weight class. The higher density of the wood also has a positive effect on the durability of the stick.
With the taper at the end of the stick, you also get a better feel for when you're straying from the optimal stick position. And when you turn the stick over, it is very gentle on the skin.
