LD Systems Dave 8 Roadie - mobile PA system with an integrated 3-channel mixer, which embodies the motto "pro audio in motion". This complete PA system delivers a peak power of 1400 W and consists of an active Bandpass subwoofer equipped with an 8" speaker, and two satellite speakers, each featuring two 4" drivers and 1" radial horn tweeters, making it the ideal solution for musicians. It offers 3 input channels that can be used simultaneously. The first channel has a combo connector (XLR/jack) for dynamic microphones, the second channel provides dual RCA connectors for connecting computers and a combo connector (XLR/jack) for connecting mixers or keyboards. The third channel has 3.5 mm mini jack and 6.3 mm mono jack connectors for MP3 players or as a guitar input, selectable for the type of connection via a dedicated selector.
The powerful A/B amplifier integrated into the subwoofer amplifies both the subwoofer and the satellites. The amplifier is equipped with all standard protection types. It also features a built-in limiter that protects the system from overload. On the side of the subwoofer, in addition to the ON/OFF switch and phase selector (180°), there is a potentiometer for controlling the subwoofer volume, facilitating ideal frequency calibration, balanced across high, mid, and low frequencies. The satellites are equipped with stand mounting systems, and like the subwoofer, they have ergonomic handles and solid metal speaker protection grilles.
Purchased for a children's choir, a compact and versatile system that together with LD Systems Dave 8 Transport Bags truly makes a pro audio system in motion. The satellites are only 100W (noted on the product), I'm not sure if the peak output power of 1400W is real, but used together with a mixer it provides enough power both indoors and outdoors.
Pros: very compact, powerful enough, good value for money
Cons: Peak power of 1400W is not real, Line-in input very weak, Mic input distorts quickly at higher levels.
