Adam Hall 3 STAR B VMIDI 0090 - For MIDI signal transmission, “only” three poles are used with the classic 5-pin connectors. Therefore, the idea was born to equip these devices with less sensitive TRS (balanced) connectors, as three poles can also be used here. To connect devices with conventional 5-pin MIDI connectors to the new devices with jack plugs, we now have adapter cables with 6.3 mm and 3.5 mm jack plugs. The MIDI Association has defined the new TRS/MIDI Type A standard, which we of course adhere to.
