Yamaha U1 TA3 PE - The new Yamaha TransAcoustic technology transmits digital sound directly to the soundboard of the piano, allowing the piano to behave like a and speaker. On a TransAcoustic piano, the sound resonates directly from the soundboard.

The tone generator sends an optimised audio signal to the transducers connected to a coil on the soundboard. This sets the coils in motion, triggering the vibration of the board and generating sonic vibrations that travel through the attached bridges to the soundboard and are transmitted to the strings, causing them to resonate.
