MEINL Chau Tam Tams are handcrafted in China, using the same methods and traditions that have been employed to create gongs in this region for centuries. Made from a special bronze alloy, these tam tams have a wide variety of tones and characteristics. From a sustained low hum to a rich booming sound and even quick explosive accidents, they function well in many situations and blend nicely with other gongs and instruments. Available sizes range from 20"/50 cm to 48"/120 cm in diameter. Each tam tam comes with a beater designed to match the size of the tam tam, and a cover.
