If you are a serious traditional Strat® player, you probably do not want to know about pickups with side-by-side coils. But if you are the player looking for something more modern, without the 60-cycle hum, string dropouts, or magnet pull that kills sustain, we designed The Cruiser® for you. The harmonic tones are exactly where you expect them to be from a "true" single-coil, and the midrange is open and sounds vocal. It is hotter than the traditional single-coil, and the bass strings have a bit more punch; this is an excellent pickup to combine with medium-output humbuckers and maintains its tonal identity with high-gain amplifiers and multiple effects.
