These strings have increased resistance to stretching and breaking, and long-lasting intonation, due to the core made of carbon-rich steel, while their winding, plated with nickel, offers increased magnetic properties, which provides a stronger output, much richer in mid frequencies in the range of 1 - 3.5 kHz for a much richer presence and crunch.
