When DiMarzio® decided for the first time to introduce a humbucking replacement for the “soapbar” and mini-humbucker, we found that many players wanted a pickup with more power and definition. We wanted to retain some of the clean and open character of the original soapbar, so we slightly reduced the mids on the DLX Plus™, making the lows tight and powerful, while the highs are strong and defined. The result is that the DLX Plus™ has power, but does not sound muddy. The Neck model has nearly as much power as the Bridge model, with a slightly weaker bass response, so the low notes sound more defined. Both come with a 4-conductor cable for coil-splitting and parallel options. Specifications:
