A hybrid cable that combines power, data and digital audio functions in a single cable? That’s incredible! These cables are primarily designed for audio network and DMX applications, and minimize cabling work while allowing remote equipment to be connected quickly and easily. This is a particular advantage where long distances are involved. As a further benefit, the cable design eliminates interference caused by discrepancies in ground potential. Handling is further simplified by drum storage for the cables. The rugged PVC outer jacket encloses the finely stranded power cable with cross-section of 3x 2.5 mm² and the audio / data cables with dual shielding. The two CAT lines feature low signal attenuation – a key criterion for data transmission. The two audio lines, with characteristic impedance of 110 Ω, are suitable for AES/EBU and DMX as well as analogue audio. Both the data and audio lines have double shielding with foil and braided copper shields to guarantee high signal quality. Closely twisted pairs of conductors boost resistance against external electromagnetic interference fields. The cable drums naturally have thermal protection switches to protect from overheating. In cable lengths of 30m and over, the cables have cable grips for strain relief. They are available with the following connector options: XLR 3-pin, XLR 5-pin, RJ45, etherCON, powerCON TRUE1, convertCON and earthed plugs.
