I recently purchased a Yamaha MG 06X mini mixer. My first mixer! I thoroughly analyzed the market offer in the country and considered my budget, the purpose of use, and the audio quality of the product I wanted. After some time, I decided on this model; I don't regret it at all. The reviews I read online also played an important role.
For me, as a beginner in music, I needed this device more for live mixing than for recordings. To connect a keyboard to other sound playback devices. Including a Korg Monotron Duo, which produces excellent sounds through the FX processor. Maximum 4 inputs (2 for microphones, each with one channel, and two stereo inputs) but the configuration can also be three stereo inputs, in which case the microphone inputs are occupied by one source, one channel per input.
The sound routed through the mixer is very good, clear, and the effects are great for both vocals and listening.
The mixer cannot be connected directly to a PC, it does not have a USB connection. However, you can connect it to a PC via a digital interface.
The construction is robust, the dimensions are also very good for the compact class, and the design is attractive. The equalizer does its job very well, as does each knob, allowing for quick, direct control.
Conclusion: even though it is a bit expensive, the mixer offers the desired sound quality and I am happy every time I experiment with the world of electronic sounds.
