The AT875R microphone is designed for video production and audio capture for TV broadcasts (ENG/EFP). It is the shortest shotgun microphone from Audio-Technica, easily mountable on a DV camera without adding a noticeable weight surplus, making it ideal for use with compact digital cameras.

The microphone offers a narrow sound acceptance angle thanks to its line+gradient design. It also provides fine and natural audio quality for the capture axis and excellent rejection of sounds outside the axis, meaning from behind or the sides of the microphone.
