Remo Powersonic is constructed from two layers of mylar, each 7 mil thick. It features two foam rings inside to attenuate subsonic frequencies, and on the outside, it is equipped with the ESDS system to further reduce unwanted tones and provide the bass drum with the round and full sound that all artists seek.

The ESDS system, patented by Remo, allows the drummer to change the tone of the bass drum even during the concert. It can be easily detached, being secured to the drum with the help of three snaps.
