The Soft-Zep is lightweight, sturdy, and easy to use, featuring a "fur" covering for wind protection, permanently attached around the open-cell foam centre, as well as a very comfortable grip made from Kraton rubber with soft gel inserts. A thread at the base allows for attachment to a stand. The rubber grip can be removed, and the microphone cable can be secured to the grip to avoid interference during handling.
