RME Fireface 802

RME Fireface 802, USB/Firewire audio interface with 60 channels (30 in, 30 out), maximum sample rate of 192 kHz, 12 analog channels and 18 digital channels, 4 microphone preamplifiers, 1 x AES/EBU I/O, 2 x ADAT I/O (or 1 x ADAT I/O plus 1 x SPDIF I/O optical), wordclock I/O, MIDI I/O.

Operation with extremely low latency via USB or FireWire combined with the legendary stability and maintenance of RME drivers, plus Active Jitter Suppression, full stand-alone functionality, and identical operation on PC and Mac make the Fireface 802 USB/Firewire audio interface an essential tool for any computer-based recording studio.

Analog I/O:

• 12 inputs: 8 balanced TRS inputs on the back and 4 Combo inputs (XLR/TS, balanced/unbalanced) with mic/instrument preamplifiers on the front panel.
• 12 outputs: 8 balanced TRS outputs on the back and 2 stereo TRS outputs for headphones on the front panel that provide high volumes even with high-impedance headphones (output channels 9/10 and 11/12).

Digital I/O:

• AES/EBU: The Fireface features AES/EBU I/O that operates at a sample rate of up to 192 kHz.
• ADAT: Two ADAT I/O ports with 8 channels each allow the connection of two additional AD/DA converters or the insertion of effects and mixing consoles. Both ports support sample rates of up to 192 kHz. These channels are available simultaneously with the analog channels. Using two external converters, the Fireface 802 has 28 analog inputs and outputs, 20 channels at a sample rate of 96 kHz, and 16 channels at 192 kHz.
• SPDIF: The second ADAT I/O port can be used as SPDIF I/O, making the interface connections even more flexible.
