Shure BETA52 is a high-power dynamic microphone dedicated to capturing instruments with rich low-frequency content, such as bass drum or bass instruments. It faithfully captures the attack and body of the miked instruments and provides studio-quality sound even at very high volume levels.
BETA52 features a modified supercardioid pattern that extends across the entire frequency range picked up, allowing for very high gain before feedback occurs, as well as excellent rejection of unwanted sounds.
An integrated stand mount system with an XLR connector significantly simplifies its installation, especially when the microphone is to be positioned inside a bass drum. The nut keeps the microphone in a fixed position and resists slipping even when subjected to strong hits and vibrations. The steel grille successfully protects the microphone even in live stage applications.
