Yamaha BB735A - active electric bass guitar with 5 strings, featuring a laminated body construction made of layers of Alder/Maple/Alder wood, a neck-to-body joint with 6 screws, and a Vintage Plus Bridge with diagonal string mounting.
Regarding the body construction, the maple core strengthens the body and accentuates the mid frequencies of the sound, while also providing increased vibration transfer between the body and neck.
Equipped with YGD Custom V7 (AlnicoV) active pickups, it benefits from a 3-band EQ, pickup balance control, and an active/passive selector.
The Vintage Plus bridge design allows for “Diagonal Body Thru Stringing,” enabling the strings to pass through the body to the bridge at a 45° angle, while also allowing for classic mounting, and is equipped with saddles that can be adjusted for both options. The saddles are made of brass, while the bridge plate is made of steel, with the springs and screws made from stainless steel.
The bass neck is made of 5 layers of Maple and Mahogany wood, with a much slimmer profile than the previous series, providing excellent tone and stability against warping or twisting. Additionally, the tuning keys are lightweight, offering better balance for the entire instrument.
