The KH 310 was designed as a 3-way near-field monitor and is tri-amplified. I had some hesitation in purchasing this product and ordered it with the idea of returning it if I couldn't get used to it. That wasn't the case; on the contrary, the monitor is uniformly directive and can be used in various acoustic conditions, with any source equipment, and can be placed in a wide variety of locations. It reproduces bass starting from 34Hz. The monitor features mathematically modeled dispersion to ensure the most accurate sound reproduction, reduces reflections, minimizes nonlinear distortions, meaning intermodulations, and reduces harmonics. It's not an aggressive response monitor. Exactly what I was looking for. The monitor contains a magnetic shield and does not resonate; I noticed a noticeable reduction in intermodulated distortions in the midrange, plus it allows control in different acoustic environments through the 4 position settings for bass, lower mids, Bass: 0..-7.5 dB, Midrange: 0..-4.5 dB, Treble: 1..-2 dB adjustable in 4 steps.
